videos :)

There’s a big difference between videos that tell a story and videos that make you feel one.

It’s an artistic world that goes far beyond simply documenting moments or ticking off a checklist of scenes — and it’s in this world, always set to great music, that I work.

The best way to understand it is by watching 🙂 And, in the Do’s & Don’ts, I’ll walk you through my little “magic formula.”

telling stories

do´s
what I
will do

1. I’ll make you feel as comfortable as possible in front of the camera—no stiff poses or awkward mannequin vibes.
2. I’ll be fully present—body and soul—on your wedding day, soaking in the world you live in. The creation is mine, but your video will be unique and reflect your style.
3. I’ll be filming from the moment I step in until I leave, capturing the most spontaneous and genuine moments (always the best ones!).
4. I’ll keep a low profile in lots of moments so your guests can be themselves and not feel intimidated by the camera—especially on the dance floor : )
5. I’ll go through all the footage and handpick the most special moments. Great editing isn’t about long runtimes—it’s about how much feeling it brings back.
6. I’ll listen to and try out countless soundtracks until I get goosebumps and know I’ve found the perfect one (and I can share the playlist with you too, if you want).
7. I’ll spend days and nights tinkering in the edit so you end up with the best video I’ve ever made (yes, that’s always my goal).
8. I’ll deliver a video that’s the perfect length—dynamic, fun, and one you’ll want to hit replay on again and again.

don´ts
what I
will not
do

1. I won’t start the video with your vows and dramatic music playing in the background.
2. I won’t send random cameramen into your room with your family—awkward enough as it is.
3. I won’t ask you to do any rehearsed scenes that feel unnatural.
4. I won’t blast a bright LED in your face or your guests’ while you’re dancing and having fun : )
5. I won’t use any trendy Instagram music that everyone else is using.
6. I won’t follow a script of staged scenes just to speed up my editing.
7. I won’t deliver a wedding video that looks like one you’ve already seen.
8. I won’t deliver a long wedding video that you’ll only watch once in your life.

Talking about myself on my own website is hard, so here’s a quick list of some professional achievements I’m proud of—and the rest we can save for a chat : )

  • I graduated in Film from the New York Film Academy and have a postgraduate degree in Directing from UCLA (The University of California, Los Angeles).
  • I have 13 years of professional experience across all sorts of areas of film and TV.
  • I spent many years in Hollywood—yep, including a movie with Johnny Depp (YAY!)—at O2 Filmes, and on TV Globo, which gave me a broad perspective on telling stories on screen.
  • My short film Alice Wants Dessert was selected by several international film festivals.
  • I’m a jury member at the Miami Independent Film Festival.
  • I’ve also worked as a music supervisor, so I know a thing or two about soundtracks.
